This Sugar Free Peanut Butter Frosting is so delicious and simple to make.
You Will Need:
4 oz. Softened Cream Cheese
1/2 C Peanut Butter**
1/4 - 1/3 C Confectioners Sweetener
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Heavy Whipping Cream, as desired
Mix cream cheese and peanut butter until well combined and fluffy. Add sweetener, to taste and vanilla and mix until combined. If you want a lighter, fluffier consistency, add 1 Tablespoon of heavy whipping cream at a time, beat well until you have your desired consistency.
Top your favorite bars, cupcakes or cookies with this delicious Keto frosting.
** Notes: Not all Peanut Butters are created equal with regard to carb content. Please read your labels carefully and try to select Peanut Butters with 1-2 grams net carbs per serving. Serving size for Peanut Butter will be 2 Tablespoons. There are 8 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter in this recipe so you can see how much of a difference it will make, carb content wise, by choosing the right Peanut Butter.
I can tell you that Kroger Brand Natural Peanut Butter, Santa Cruz Brand Organic Peanut Butter and Laura Scudder's Organic Smooth Peanut Butter all clock in at 2 net carbs per serving. Believe it or not, Walmart's Great Value Organic Natural Peanut Butter states 1 net carb per serving on the label.
I am sure there are many others so if you find them use them. Until I really started ready labels, I just assumed that all Natural Peanut Butters had the same carb content.
