Chocolate Caramel Walnut Thumbprints
You Will Need:
1 Egg Yolk
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 Cup Butter Softened
Chopped Walnuts
Caramel Sauce - see recipe below
Mix together Butter Kookie Mix, Egg Yolk, Butter, Cocoa Powder. Roll into Balls and roll in Chopped Walnuts to cover. Place the Balls in Fridge for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place Thumbprints on a parchment lined baking sheet. Make an indentation in each ball using your finger or back of measuring spoon. Bake Thumbprints 10-12 mintues.
Remove and cool completely. While the Thumbprints are baking make Caramel Sauce.
Caramel Sauce
1/2 stick Butter
1/2 Cup Allulose
1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
Place Butter in pan and melt until browned and fluffy. Add Allulose, Heavy Cream and Salt. Mix until Allulose has dissolved. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until Thick and Golden. Remove from heat and pour into glass jar, store in the fridge. When ready to serve your Thumbprints. spoon caramel sauce into well of your Thumbprints.
