Perfect Thanksgiving Dessert
You Will Need:
For the Crust:
6 Tablespoons Butter, softened
For the Filling:
1/4 cup Butter, room temperature
1/2 cup Sweetener, we used Lakanto Brown Sweetener but you can use whatever you have on hand
1/4 cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup, we used Choc Zero
1 Tablespoon Heavy Whipping Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 cups Pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line loaf pan with parchment paper.
Combine crust ingredients and press into bottom of prepared pan. Bake 10 min. Remove and let cool slightly.
While crust is baking, make filling. Add 1/4 cup butter, sweetener and syrup to a saucepan and cook until sweetener has melted and filling is thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and add Heavy Whipping Cream, Vanilla and Pecans. Stir until combined.
Pour filling on top of crust and bake an additional 25 minutes.
We doubled the recipe and baked in an 8 x 8 pan.
We also baked our bars a little longer and they were crispy. If you want your filling to be gooey, bake for less time.
